In the first quarter of 2025, the Middle East saw dynamic activity in the carpooling and ridesharing app market. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of the top five apps on a unified platform.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 57K and 82K. Active users peaked at about 2.06M towards the end of January, experiencing some variability but stabilizing around 1.8M by the end of March.

Careem – rides, food & more showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 61K in the last week of March. Active users displayed a similar trend, with numbers rising to over 1.8M in mid-February before a slight decrease to 1.63M by quarter's end.

Jeeny - Book Affordable Rides had a varied download pattern, peaking at 32K in early January and ending with 29K. Active users peaked at nearly 595K in late February, with a subsequent decline to 431K by the end of March.
